Heads up!

Dragon's Milk is LIVE on the website. The soap is $19 and the Tonic/ElixER is $20 (includes shipping). Two things to note, 1) the soap is SOFT, like a sticky cream. The soap will not firm up if you leave the lid off, it isn't soft because of moisture it soft because of the formulation. 2) I will be increasing the price of my tonic's by at least a $1 (maybe $1.50) soon because the post office has increased shipping costs through year end and all tonics include free shipping for the entire order.

I have also reduced the prices on most of what was already listed on the forum. I did this to move some older stock and make room for new. The older pucks are AWESOME because they have dried nicely to very firm puck, some are looking a bit on the "ugly side" . If you want to pick up a puck and a custom CBL bamboo bowl to put it in, you can get the bowl for $10 (my cost). You can add a bowl to your order using the special request and handling item ($10) and include a note that you want a bowl.

Well ...

I do actually have a couple other scents ready to roll, I am just trying to decide which base and packaging to use. I also need to name them and make labels. One of the upcoming scents is my most recent attempt to duplicate the OLD Sir Irisch Moos aftershave, this one will most likely be limited to a harder puck wrapped in plastic to protect the scent and some after shave. I also have a nice Yuzu/Madagascar pepper scent (need a name and label...this one is kind of classy so it could be a candidate for the wood bowl). I was working on another Princess bride themed scent and came up with a unique aquatic-old spice, but this one may need some test noses to weigh in because I am not sure. AND I was going to do more Fresh Lime with matching after shave.
There are a few more scents on my workbench but I don't know when I'll get to them.
Sign me up! Dread pirate needs to be made!

Dread Pirate Roberts is very near complete, I expect to have it available in 10 days or so. I ended up trashing the aquatic old spice blend because it came across too harsh until it dried down (the dry down was beautiful, but the soap rarely got to that beautiful stage). The reimagined version is very nice.

Dread Pirate Roberts scent is complete and the labels are ready. I will have the soap and tonic (and if you want, the apothecary oil too) available first thing next week. I have weekend plans so I am not going to make the soap available until I am back in town.

Here's the description so far:
"Dread Pirate Roberts" is a salty marine fragrance that follows our character’s journey from the darkest depths of the ocean to his place beside his true love, Buttercup.

Dread Pirate Roberts starts off bold and briny, with sea kelp, salty sea minerals, cucumber, mint and citrus tops notes. Fresh juniper berries, hints of real bay leaf, smoked cedar, rich Agar-woods, Sandalwood and exotic cured tobaccos provide a solid and lasting middle/base. Herbal Caraway, Vetiver and Pink Peppercorn round out the complex scent.

It is made with my Apothecary Tallow base so the performance is really good, this is a top notch formula. The fragrance oils and added Hyaluronic acid and ceramides (the ceramides more than anything) tend to soften the soap some but it shouldn't be too soft.

The fragrance is really unique, a REAL marine scent but the aftershave tonic has a wonderful complex dry down that really evolves. The first whiff from the tub or right off the lather you will get a bold blast of salty kelp. The kelp fades/blends with the cucumber, mint and sea minerals to give the impression of ocean air. It's a fun scent that is more than just a novelty.

Opening notes of salty and bold green kelp, ocean/sea minerals, cucumber, mint, citrus hand off to rich woods (Agar-wood, Atlas Cedar, and Sandalwood) and exotic cured tobaccos Ambergris and resins. Herbal notes like pink peppercorn, Caraway and vetiver bring a unique contrast.

This scent sounds very interesting.

Damn you for introducing more scents I want!

Quick note: I edited my post above describing the scent because I forgot a MAJOR scent component in my description. my post above now reflects the corrected description (so those who read it in the future don't see the wrong description) but for those who read it already here is my new description...

*I would describe this scent as being "like" a mix of Creed Oud mineral (a mineral like salty scent that is kind of light on its own in my opinion) + Iron Throne (a juniper berry and bay leaf based scent with hints of dark oud and other stuff) + Poseidon (a briny, darker, oud mineral like scent) + maybe some Creed Viking (aromatic fresh spicy and woody sort of like vintage old spice).

@CBLindsay - will you be restocking Hombre Aftershave Tonic soon?

Hombres is/was a custom scent made special for Hombres Barber shop (as a signature scent), unless they commission another run I don’t expect to have any more tonic available. Sadly, one of the key components of the scent is now MUCH more difficult to acquire. I can buy what I need but I must do so in 50 gal minimum.

Dread Pirate Roberts arrived in today’s mail. As described, the scent of the soap is freshly aquatic. Looking forward to using this. CBLindsay - do you recommend scooping and bowl lathering this soap, since it is on the soft side, or is it okay to lather off the soap?

Dread Pirate should be firm enough to lather from the tub but if you do scoop and lather you shouldn't need a lot because it is a very concentrated soap. I find something along the lines of a garbanzo bean size scoop is more than enough but MORE is always better...because you never know when you might need to shave the neighbors cow.

Just a quick product update...
I have more Bar Soap about to be made available on the website, Frosted Eucalyptus, Original Vetiver and Orange Dirt. As mentioned elsewhere, the Orange dirt was a special request made by a loyal TSC member so they get first crack at the 10 bars I made (he has left some for the rest of you). Original Vetiver has a few more bars available but it is still a limited quantity scent. Frosted Eucalyptus has more than 30 bars available. I have a list started of those who want/ed the OD and OV, I'll make sure the guys on that list get what they want.

I will also be bringing back my ORIGINAL CBL Premium tallow soap (with Wagyu beef tallow) in several scents. These soaps will be made using my original formula BUT that formula has been modified slightly to produce a firmer soap (still a "croap" but much firmer than my original releases). The following scents have been made and will be available soon.
Orange Dirt (25 tubs) and I will be offering tonic and apothecary oil in this scent. (ready to go, just needs to be added to the website)
Russian Tea (25 tubs) and I will be offering SOME tonic and apothecary oil in this scent. (ready to go, just needs to be added to the website)
"Vintage" - opening notes of Peppercorn, Yuzu and Coriander. Middle notes are Incense, Cinnamon and Rose. Base notes are Virginia Cedar, Sandalwood and Musk. A cologne-like scent Unsure if this will be sold in bamboo bowls or tubs but I should have 30 tubs or so.
(name pending)- a Cherry, almond and Chocolate scent with a little something more. The "more" makes the scent more regal and refined BUT the first impression might remind you of a cherry tootsie pop. About 20 tubs (more possible if scent sells)
