What Fragrance Did You Use Today?

Heeley - Hippie Rose
Not sure why it's called Hippie Rose, because I don't get those kind of vibes. If anything, the tones of the pic below hit it for me, a sort of electric, nouveau gothic rose in the opening. Well in that way I almost get it, it makes me think of the Christopher Lee vampire movies, that were shot in Technicolor.
The dry down is also really great, it feels like a modern Loewe pour Homme.

Rubini - Odenaturae
One of the more interesting greens in my collection. A real feeling of spiky green underbrush, and loamy, mushroomy soil. The spiky Angelica/laurel combo helping create the green feeling work so nicely over the mushroom feeling giving a real verticality to the fragrance. It sounds weird but it's been really addicting to me.

BDK - Gris Charnel Extrait
Similar sandalwood as Costume National pour Homme, but with a modern niche vibe. I still struggle with the 'modern niche' feeling, as there's something soulless and samey about it to me. But that aside, this is really quite nice, and I can see why it's popular. The best of this kind of thing I've tried. I could see it growing on me.

BDK Gris Charnel
The dry down on this turned out to be great. Maybe the best masculine sandalwood I've tried in recent years. (God do I miss the Mysore sandalwood from back in the day, magic to my nose.)
So I wanted to wear it again just to see if it was a fluke, it's not. Just didn't expect such a 'hype' fragrance to actually deliver like this. Weirdly no reviewers talk about sandalwood, just 'woody' dry down. Goes to show what a lot of hype reviewers are about, but that's another topic...
